Wines from Cremisan

Most of the Cremisan wines are made from autochthonous grapes from the Middle East. Only the Cabernet Sauvignon grape is still grown and expanded as an international grape. Under “autochthonous” one understands vines, on which the human hand has not touched through history and has not aimed to change the vines.

Baladije

The grapes of this grape variety grow in the vineyards of Beit Gemal and Cremisan Monastery, but are also widespread in other parts of the Middle East;
“round”, “soft” and “velvety”, suitable for many occasions; the wine is reminiscent of ripe fruit with hints of vanilla and dark chocolate;

Cabernet Sauvignon

the grapes grow in the Jerusalem-Bethlehem-Hebron region and the Ayalon Valley;
intense ruby red color, moderate acidity, unusually low tannin character, as barrel aging was carried out in old, used oak barrels;
wide range of forest fruit flavors;

how a classically developed Cabernet Sauvignon should be, with an appealing tanin character that does not push itself forward; a really great wine !!!

Hamdany & Jandaly

Hamdany and Jandaly are independent Palestinian grape varieties that ripened in Shaffa, 15 kilometers southeast of Bethlehem at an altitude of around 800 meters. The grapes were harvested without machines, only by hand; the use of herbicides was dispensed with. The wine with a strong green-yellow color, intense flowers, breathes a combination of fresh citrus and mint notes, peach blossom, banana and acacia. Moderate, balanced acidity.

Dabouqy

The Dabouqy grape is an independent Palestinian grape variety that matured in Shaffa, 15 kilometers southeast of Bethlehem at an altitude of around 800 meters. The grapes were harvested without machines, only by hand; the use of herbicides was dispensed with. The wine with a straw yellow color reflects aromas of apricot, grapefruit and jasmine. Good texture, fresh and fruity.
Genetic studies a few years ago showed that this vine is a purely local vine of the Bethlehem region.
